Dawny’s Day Care, a children’s nursery in Addlestone Moor, have been very busy raising money and supporting charities. It began in the summer when they raised over £100 for the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice at their Open Day and then more recently Children in Need and Operation Christmas Child (by Samaritan’s Purse).
“The children had so much fun dressing up in spots, playing Pudsey games and baking cakes for the cake sale and we were over the moon that we raised over £100!” said Dawn Mitchell, Nursery Manager.
The children absolutely loved participating in Operation Christmas Child and got so excited filling up their shoeboxes with goodies with Mum and Dad. Samaritan’s Purse collected 34 shoeboxes from Dawny’s Day Care that will be sent abroad to make a child’s Christmas very special!
Dawn also said, “We couldn’t do all this without the support of our families and their generosity so the Dawny’s Day Care team would like to give them a big thank you and we look forward to working with other charities in the future!”
